Offensive & Defensive Security

Cloud Infrastructure & Kubernetes Hardening

The cloud and cluster misconfigurations that become breaches, found and closed before they do.

The Mandate

Most cloud breaches are not exotic. They are an over-permissive role, a public bucket, a token that should have expired, a container running as root with the host socket mounted. Attackers chain the boring mistakes into full compromise. I hunt those chains the way they do.

Kubernetes multiplies the blast radius of every small error. I review the cluster the way an attacker who just landed one pod would — what can I reach, what can I become, how far does one foothold travel. Then I hand you the configuration that ends the chain early.

Engagement Scope
  • IAM and identity-plane review across AWS, GCP, and Azure for privilege-escalation paths
  • Kubernetes RBAC, admission control, network policy, and secrets-handling audit
  • Container image and supply-chain review, from base image to runtime posture
  • Control-plane, etcd, and node-level exposure assessment
  • Network segmentation, service mesh, and east-west traffic analysis
  • Infrastructure-as-code review (Terraform, Helm, manifests) for drift and defaults
  • Attack-path mapping from a single compromised workload to crown-jewel data
  • Runtime detection and policy guardrails (OPA/Gatekeeper, Falco) tuning
How I Work

I work from your real environment and real IaC, not a questionnaire. Findings come with the exact attack path, the blast radius, and the specific configuration change — reviewed against production stability so nothing I recommend breaks your deploys.

Every engagement runs under a signed NDA and, where testing is involved, a Safe Harbor agreement. Legal and ethical, start to finish.

What You Receive
  1. A prioritized attack-path report ranked by reachability to sensitive assets
  2. Hardened reference configurations and policy-as-code you can merge directly
  3. A guardrail blueprint that prevents the same class of misconfiguration from returning
Questions
Which platforms do you cover?+

AWS, GCP, and Azure, plus self-managed and managed Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, and bare clusters). Multi-cloud estates are reviewed as one connected attack surface.

Do you just run a scanner?+

Scanners are a starting point, not the work. The value is manual attack-path analysis — chaining findings a tool reports in isolation into the compromise they actually enable.
